Really exciting news! Astronomers have discovered an asteroid that has rings! The asteroid, named Chariklo, has a orbit between Saturn and Uranus. You really should check it out. When I get home from an appointment and a writing across the curriculum workshop for Wise County, I am going to start reading up. One of the great things about being my age and hoping to live to a hundred is that somebody is using technology for more than showing slides on a SmartBoard or playing games. Because I never grew up with a computer and read science fiction whenever I found some to read, I used to imagine what it would be like. Maybe thats why I see my computer as a work horse instead of an entertainment device. Its my rocket ship to knowledge and understanding as I ask questions, read, and then write. Real science. Real life. Its inspiring.
