Really looking forward to Right2Water protest tomorrow. Its the talk of the town! I hope and expect it will be a massive manifestation on the streets of our capital city of the anger that is felt out there by hundreds of thousands of people. This is about water charges, and it is about USC, Property Tax, Pension Levies, removal of discretionary medical cards, cuts to SNAs, low wages, student registration fee increases, community service cuts, homelessness, trolleys in hospitals, job bridge, gateway, the list could go on and on. But tomorrow is also about giving confidence to the thousands of people that will be protesting for the first time and the thousands that are not able to make it, that we can build a peaceful mass movement of resistance. What ever our feelings towards the police, unions, other groups, tomorrow is about us, united. Everyone there tomorrow is there because they want to resist the charges. Remember who the real enemy is and lets not feed into the narrative we have heard in the media, in the Council and in the Dail this week that this is just about a small bunch of thugs who are provoking violence. When in fact in our communities mothers, fathers, young people and old, together have been mobilising and resisting. We are the people, peacefully united in mass resistance. Together we will overcome.
