When you run a large mobile community outreach program you see the best and the worst of humanity on a daily basis. Those struggling to do the right thing by their pets and others who completely disregard their pets welfare. Its a heartbreaking for us to see these animals suffering day in and day out. In this case I have no idea how this dog had survived like this for so long or how the owner thought this is adequate shelter. Another thought that comes to mind is how many people have driven by and seen him suffering? Did anyone stop or even make a phone call? This case isnt unique, its one of several well deal with this week alone. Its sickening but its reality. We are going to make a difference for this dog and many others but we cant do it alone. Consider volunteering, donating, fostering or even networking and help the nameless dogand the others that desperately need you.
