Really not liking the marketing for the Enders Game movie. Gravitys previews were excellent by comparison; they showed you just enough to get you interested and hook you, and then left the rest alone so that you could discover the movie yourself. The movie was fantastic, and the previews allowed it the room to be so. Enders Game was a great book, and is one of my science-fiction favorites. But each new preview I see for the movie ruins just a bit more of the story, leaves less for the audience to discover on their own, and presents the whole thing as just another mediocre summer blockbuster full of amazing computer-graphics and enough explosions to make Michael Bay jealous. It isnt. It shouldnt be. This book was the only one I have ever read which I had to put down for a half hour to process the full weight of it towards the end. If youve seen the previews, you already know enough pieces to soften the turn.
