Really ramping things up in 2015. That means Better Life In - TopicsExpress

Really ramping things up in 2015. That means Better Life In Recovery (BLiR) will have several new projects coming up, in addition to continuing to do events like we did last year. We are aiming for 24 events next year, which will be awesome and time consuming. I will be starting a BLiR blog that will talk about addiction and recovery related things. We are also starting a weekly podcast, called Better Life in Recovery that we are still trying to figure out what it will look like. Finally, we will be making BLiR merchandise available to purchase. To do these things we have several needs: 1. Feedback on the idea of a podcast. We are currently looking at different time lengths, formats and topics. Sometimes we will have guests, sometimes we will not. Sometimes we will hear stories of hope, sometimes we will answer questions that have been sent in, sometimes we may talk about the state of recovery, upcoming events or treatment modalities. If you would be interested in being a guest please contact me! 2. Thinking on blogging and frequency. I know that this blog will cover everything addiction, recovery, treatment and stigma related but should I do one weekly, biweekly, or monthly? Should I have guest writers? If so, who wants to write for me? If so, start sending me some content! 3. Are you a good artist? We are looking for design ideas for t-shirts, hoodies, hats, coffee cups, key chains, bumper stickers, etc currently, so send us your artwork. 4. We will need a lot of volunteers and donors to make all of this a reality. If you would be willing to sponsor an event (5K, river float, baseball game, softball team, bowling league, etc), a podcast or have your name/organization listed on the website we can do that. You can call it donating or advertising, either way. If you have items we can use as door prizes or for silent auctions that would be great as well. Finally, if you have time to help. or would like us to come and do something in your community, school, conference, organization, group or church get in touch with us. 5. We are writing the 501c3 paperwork now, so we will be needing board members very soon. If that is something that interests you please contact mean for an application. I am really looking forward to seeing what 2015 has in store for us as we grow larger and do more in our mission to transform lives with recovery! Thanks for the help, and please share this with any friends or family that share our passion!
