Really, what is freedom if you are too hungry to move? I know libertarians fancy themselves as the freedom crowd – I get an ear-full of these child-like, antiquated tales of the beauty of the market, and how they occasionally step into do something good when I debated them. Then I hear about the evils of government, and how they won’t even let you drink rainwater! Oh, no! Is a libertarian world a better place if I can drink rain water without government bans, but if I can’t even stand due to my malnourishment? Is being an economic slave better than – in the most extreme case - a physical slave?
