Realtalk post: So yes, I deactivate my profile a lot, and the unfortunate problem with this is that it results in a lot of messages asking why, when its not really important or anybodies business. As a real human bean surely we all have the right to come and go as we please, yeah? The TL;DR of why I do it is because social media contributes a LOT to my depression. Like holy shit dude you dont even know how much. So sometimes I have to take a break. Cept that having to deal with the fallout sucks ass and makes me feel like Im just here to post dumb crap for people, and that realising that your feed is now 90% more which mollusc are you Buzzfeed quizzes is what sparks furious finger tapping to me. So heres the deal, I wont deactivate, but in return I am taking back control of my social media presence. That means that some of you who can see this post may no longer be listed as my friend, and its nothing personal. That means followers have been switched off because I genuinely only had peoples girlfriends following me, which is creepy. That means that for some of us our journeys together must end~ But its ok, because I want to feel comfortable posting what I post. Not feel judged or afraid of who sees what. And be okay with venting if I need to. Thats my human bean right, and I know some of you shouldnt have to deal with that side of me, so Ill spare you from it. Also I seriously had no idea who the hell a bunch of people in my friends list were, so yeah.
