Realtor, Move, and Top Producer services are experiencing extremely high volumes of unusual Internet traffic. We are working with our network service providers and other experts to identify and block the sources of this traffic. Thank you for your patience. Our press release provides additional information as to what we are experiencing: Move, Inc., (NASDAQ:MOVE), a leading provider of online real estate services, today reported its websites are experiencing a distributed denial of service (DDoS) attack. The attack directs massive amounts of traffic to our websites and makes realtor®, Top Producer® Systems, and Moves other Internet services inaccessible. Move operates realtor®, the official website of the National Association of REALTORS®. Move and its network service providers are working quickly to assess and resolve the outages with the least amount of disruption to consumers and customers. Move has no evidence that this attack includes or has resulted in any compromise of data or other content on its websites. Move is working closely with federal law enforcement to identify the persons responsible for the attack, which began mid-day Tuesday, June 17, 2014. DDoS attacks are a growing problem for online businesses. DDoS attacks are sent by people or botnets, a collection of Internet-connected programs communicating with other similar programs to perform tasks.
