Realtors endorse Barich, Foster, Harrison for Redlands City Council By Sandra Emerson, Redlands Daily Facts POSTED: 09/26/14 The East Valley Association of Realtors has announced their endorsement of three candidates running for Redlands City Council in November. The association is putting their support behind Mayor Pro Tem Paul Foster, Councilman Jon Harrison and Paul Barich, owner of Barich & Associates Insurance in Redlands. The group is endorsing Foster and Harrison for their leadership and work to balance the city’s budget for four years and increasing reserves, according to a news release from EVAOR. “They have been making investments in Redlands that continue to make our city appealing to future homeowners. People want to buy a home, raise a family and enjoy the many amenities the city has to offer and Redlands continues to be a perfect choice,” the news release says. Foster said he is very proud to have received the group’s endorsement. “This is a group of great real estate professionals who help families and businesses find places to live and work and have their business in the East Valley,” he said. “That’s important to our economic growth and I appreciate their confidence and I thank their leadership and their board.” Harrison, too, said he is very pleased to have received EVAOR’s endorsement along with his council colleague. “Housing is an important part of why Redlands is such a great place to live,” he said. “We have great housing. We have great amenities for our residents and businesses and that the Realtor’s association recognizes the work that Paul and I have done is very pleasing.” EVAOR also acknowledges Foster’s and Harrison’s work to identify funding sources for various improvements including street repaving, parks, biking and walking trails, acquisition for open space for recreational use and the city’s gateways, according to the release. EVAOR cites a study showing the improvements can add up to 10 percent to the value of a home, according to the release. redlandsdailyfacts/government-and-politics/20140926/realtors-endorse-barich-foster-harrison-for-redlands-city-council
