Reamus, A valiant (if somewhat under-prepared) effort of scriptlessness. This was to be anticipated, guys, the one rehearsal where everything falls apart. This is okay - in fact, this is good. Now we know EXACTLY what areas of our performance that we need to attend to, and can all do what needs to be done to turn them around. Clutter becomes sense, stagnation becomes change, and weakness becomes strength. In our final two weeks of rehearsal, progress will soar - but to achieve this, right now, I implore you all to adopt an attitude of slight dissatisfaction. Sure, it might be great - but how can it be better? WEEKEND Its going to be a big Sunday, so make sure you get plenty of sleep beforehand, wear comfy clothes, and bring whatever food and drink you need to get through the day. From 10am on Sunday 20th well be finishing off the set, if you can, please show up to pitch in. Official rehearsal time: 2:00pm-6:00pm. Everyone is needed, no exceptions. OPENING NIGHT We have received a suggestion from our very own Adam Hall to make our premiere truly spectacular. Everyone coming to opening night is invited to arrive in a magical costume - spirits, fairies, imps, sprites and all manners of woodland creatures - for the chance to win a prize or something that well announce during interval (maybe). Ill be contacting the Information Centre to make this official. SCHOOL SHOWS Its official - thanks to the great work from Anne Robinson, we have schools booked in for our performances on Thursday 14th. Performance times: Thursday 7th - 9:30am & 12:00pm Thursday 14th - 9:30am & 12:00pm. I know its early. Feel free to nap in the building afterwards - I know I will. THE CALL I should have stipulated this sooner, but didnt, so here it is now. For every one of our shows (including school shows), you need to be on site at least ONE HOUR before curtain, and have your costume and make up ready by the half hour mark. Again, no exceptions (tech & SM included). PROPS Big thanks to David for putting in his time and resources to make us some swords - Im pretty excited to see them this Sunday. Thanks also to Briggs for getting hold of some rope. If youre aware of any outstanding props that we crucially need - please let us know ASAP. PHOTOS Maitland City Council wants Reamus rehearsal shots for their New Resident Guide. Zac - if your photographer friend is still coming, get them in. Meg - feel free to crack out the camera at any point youre not on stage. Make sure theyre high res, or MCC wont want them (pooheads). AFTER-PARTY Still taking suggestions for after-party food / celebratory items to spend our $50 on. Current list includes bacon, bacon cupcakes, sausages, lettuce, glow sticks, plastic cups, jelly, candy G-strings (maybe not?), goose, beets, cake, Zappos, and chicken nuggets. Cards Against Humanity, charades, shot roulette, goon of fortune and shot chess have all been pitched as after-party game suggestions - again, youre welcome to add to the list. Thats all. I dont care, what theyre going to say. Let the storm ream on. The cold never reamed me anyway. Have a great week. Dan
