Reason #1 why I despise religion. It blinds people and makes them disregard the history of thousands of other cultures because of a stupid book. There is *substantial* evidence that the Earth and Universe is billions of years old. But some idiots will believe a book written thousands of years ago, a time period where people still thought the earth was flat, instead of actual freaking evidence. I understand that not all religious people are like this. An *overwhelming* majority, as in like 98%, are accepting and intelligent and some of the kindest and coolest people in the world. But keep in mind that there are people like these in the picture out there, and they are teaching their children to believe that the earth is only 6000 years old.
