Reasons I Miss The Desert The sunsets and sunrises are really, - TopicsExpress

Reasons I Miss The Desert The sunsets and sunrises are really, really beautiful. For all the shitty, unbearable hot months, there are an (almost) equal number of perfect-weather months. If it’s late enough, you can be pretty much alone on the freeway. I use these moments to open the moon roof and crank up the jams. My best friends and family live here. Rent is cheap. It’s just easy to live here. You can drive anywhere, the streets are easy to navigate and the traffic is never that bad. There are adorable little neighborhoods full of charming old houses. (I realize this is true for most places, but old houses in Phoenix are extra cute.) It’s the backdrop for all my best memories. It’s not too far from southern California. Summers are Hott, yes, but at least the dry heat doesn’t create instant sweatyface. There are a million pretty places to run, hike and walk. You’re never that far from a Target. There are lots of great places to eat and drink. It’s my home.
