Rebecca Nyandeng de Mabior reacted to the news of her dismissal by South Sudanese President as his advisor on Gender and Human Rights. In an interview which will be broadcast this Saturday on SBS Dinka Radio, Nyandeng who was a former Minister before her advisory roles in Kiir’s Government thinks the news of current dismissal were not correct because she had a discussion with the President about her disappointments since 2012 and couldn’t see herself as an advisor since. In her own words she said. “In 2012 I told him Mr President; iam tired of many things that I have advised you on but you fail to act on them. For such reasons; I need to go and cultivate if you can give me time? For me I recalled that time as the day of my departure from his office. I told him that I don’t want to resign by myself but I asked him to keep me at loose. If he speaks the truth then he will remember my words as the true words that I told him”. In an hour long interview; Nyandeng pointed out the areas of her disagreement with the President that includes security and management of the country affairs.
