Rebecca Schaeffer just came and rescued me and marvin... We made it 14 miles on Sout fork Catawba River.. We left from jacob fork up off of Highway 10 at 8 a.m. This morning trees were down throughout the river had to keep getting out of the kayak lifting the kayaks over the trees and all the garbage... Get back in the kayak and continue our awesome adventure... I slipped and fell at launch site. . Fell out of the kayak once.. Fill the kayak up with water twice... Then we came to a spot that we could not go any further impossible to climb over with all the debris and all the trees... But back up river about a mile there was some homemade steps on property... So we got out there and tried to find the owner it was farmland probably close to 75 to 100 acres about a mile from the river to the main road... No house on the property... So we went and knocked on a neighbors door they sent is two houses down to the people that own Hampton wrecker in Hampton grocery store and gas station... They were not home so we went to their next door neighbors house.. Total is the guys name in the he lived in Huntersville... They did not have a number for him so when rebecca got there to rescue as we took a chance and Drogo mile back to where the kayak tour on this old dirt road our van is not a 4 wheel drive... But we made it home safe had an awesome time and a great adventure...
