Rebellion is any attempt to take/sit in the place/position of Christ. Jesus Christ alone is the Head of His Assembly/Gathering/Grouping/Congregation... commonly referred to as church! He personally purposed, planned & designed His Assembly. He personally supplies the resources, skill/talent & manpower for the building of His Congregation. He personally causes growth in His Gathering! His Congregation/Assembly/Gathering holds onto Him directly without any mediator/intermediary! CHRIST IS THE HEAD OF EVERY MAN 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I want you to know and realize that Christ is the head of every man, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. CHRIST IS THE HEAD OVER EVERY CONGREGATION Ephesians 1:22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], WE, THE CONGREGATION/HIS ASSEMBLY, GROW UP, AS INDIVIDUALS & AS A GROUP. WE GROW UP,IN EVERY WAY & IN ALL THINGS, INTO CHRIST, WHO IS OUR HEAD! Ephesians 4:15 Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). CHRIST IS HIMSELF THE HEAD OF HIS ASSEMBLY/CHURCH, JUST LIKE A HUSBAND IS PERSONALLY HEAD OVER HIS WIFE. A HUSBAND DOES NOT DELEGATE HIS HEADSHIP OVER HIS WIFE TO SOMEONE ELSE! DO YOU THINK JESUS IS DELEGATING HIS HEADSHIP OVER HIS ASSEMBLY/ CHURCH TO SOMEONE ELSE?! EVERY INDIVIDUAL MEMBER IN THE ASSEMBLY/ CHURCH MUST BE PERSONALLY SUBJECT/ACCOUNTABLE TO CHRIST! A WIFE IS NOT ACCONTABLE/SUBJECT TO A MAN WHO IS NOT HER HUSBAND, IN TGIS CONTEXT! Ephesians 5:23-24 For the husband is head of the wife as Christ is the Head of the church, Himself the Savior of [His] body. As the church is subject to Christ, so let wives also be subject in everything to their husbands. THE FATHER HAS GIVEN CHRIST THE HEADSHIP OVER HIS CONGREGATION/ CHURCH! THE THE CONGREGATION OF CHRIST IS NOT THE FATHER OR THE HOLY SPIRIT OR ANY HUMAN BEING, ONLY CHRIST! Colossians 1:18 He also is the Head of [His] body, the church; seeing He is the Beginning, the Firstborn from among the dead, so that He alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the chief place [stand first and be preeminent]. EVERY SINGLE MEMBER OF CHRISTS ASSEMBLY/CHURCH IS IN HIM MADE FULL IN HIM HAS COME TO FULLNESS OF LIFE IN HIM Colossians 2:10 And you are in Him, made full and having come to fullness of life [in Christ you too are filled with the Godhead—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—and reach full spiritual stature]. And He is the Head of all rule and authority [of every angelic principality and power]. THE ASSEMBLY/CHURCH OF CHRIST IS A LIVING ORGANISM. NO LIVING ORGANISM HAS MORE THAN ONE HEAD! EVERY MEMBER OF THIS ASSEMBLY/ CONGREGATION MUST HOLD FAST ONTO THE HEAD, DIRECTLY (NOT THROUGH ANOTHER HUMAN BEING OR ANGEL!) EVERY MEMBER OF CHRISTS BODY GETS NUTRIENTS FOR GROWTH DIRECTLY FROM THE HEAD! THAT IS THE GROWTH THAT IS FROM GOD! Colossians 2:19 And not holding fast to the head, from Whom the entire body, supplied and knit together by means of its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 For there [is only] one God, and [only] one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, Who gave Himself as a ransom for all [people, a fact that was] attested to at the right and proper time. Hebrews 9:15 [Christ, the Messiah] is therefore the Negotiator and Mediator of an [entirely] new agreement (testament, covenant), so that those who are called and offered it may receive the fulfillment of the promised everlasting inheritance—since a death has taken place which rescues and delivers and redeems them from the transgressions committed under the [old] first agreement. Hebrews 12:24 And to Jesus, the Mediator (Go-between, Agent) of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood which speaks [of mercy], a better and nobler and more gracious message than the blood of Abel [which cried out for vengeance].
