Screening details: Saturday, September 06, 2014 at 2:00 PM Location: The Newseum - Documentary Theater To mark the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Newseum presents a screening of Project Rebirths documentary “Rebirth,” a film about the transformation of five people whose lives were forever altered on Sept. 11, 2001. The film, released in 2011, is the result of a decade-long project by director Jim Whitaker. “Rebirth” also chronicles the minute-by-minute evolution of the space where the Twin Towers once stood using multicamera time-lapse photography. The five people profiled over the 10-year period are a teenager who lost his mother; a woman who was severely burned; a firefighter who lost his best friend, a fellow firefighter; woman who lost her fiancé; and a construction worker who lost his brother.
