. Reboots are essential for the health of your computer and other devices. New software changes and updates often require a reboot. When you have a variety of issues going on, a reboot will frequently help. In fact, reboot is one of the first things to try when theres an issue. You might not understand why the reboot helped, but you can get on with what you were doing. Refreshing a screen can help at times, but a reboot goes deeper. Some issues dont even have the option of refreshing. Sometimes your computer is locked up, and youre not able to do anything without rebooting the computer. The same is true with you. Your life isnt as simple as an on/off switch, but you certainly have the opportunity to reboot, and you need to fully embrace it. When you have an overwhelming issue, you need to not get stuck. Dont be distracted by self-sufficiency, believing you can find the issue and solve it easily. There will be times God leads you to a simple solution, but at other times, you have no idea what to try, and you can spend a lot of time trying to figure it out on your own. God wants you to rely on him. When you do, he can do some things that you might not fully understand, but it works. You have to trust him to work in you. Call out to God in times of need. Give everything to him, and let him do all the work in the background that you dont know even exists. Trust him to apply the changes and updates that need to be made. Let him plant his Word in your heart and mind. Let his power, strength and courage become your tools. It rarely takes long, but its okay if it does. Gods timing is best every time. Dig Into Gods Word How do you need God to reboot your life and your faith? Consider these verses! So dont worry, because I am with you. Dont be afraid, because I am your God. I will make you strong and will help you; I will support you with my right hand that saves you. (Isaiah 41:10) I asked the Lord for help, and he answered me. He saved me from all that I feared. Those who go to him for help are happy, and they are never disgraced. This poor man called, and the Lord heard him and saved him from all his troubles. The angel of the Lord camps around those who fear God, and he saves them. Examine and see how good the Lord is. Happy is the person who trusts him. (Psalm 34:4-8) Really, it is not that I want to receive gifts from you, but I want you to have the good that comes from giving. And now I have everything, and more. I have all I need, because Epaphroditus brought your gift to me. It is like a sweet-smelling sacrifice offered to God, who accepts that sacrifice and is pleased with it. My God will use his wonderful riches in Christ Jesus to give you everything you need. (Philippians 4:17-19) We want each of you to go on with the same hard work all your lives so you will surely get what you hope for. We do not want you to become lazy. Be like those who through faith and patience will receive what God has promised. God made a promise to Abraham. And as there is no one greater than God, he used himself when he swore to Abraham, saying, I will surely bless you and give you many descendants. Abraham waited patiently for this to happen, and he received what God promised. (Hebrews 6:11-15) Live It Out Loud Ready, set, reboot! Reboot an electronic device: laptop, phone, satellite television, or something else you use on a regular basis. As soon as you hit the button to reboot, close your eyes and pray for God to pour into you and reboot you spiritually, resetting some of your default settings to match Gods, clearing the history that is making you struggle to live effectively, and installing updates of realizations of growth and hope. Retreat into Gods presence. He wants you to trust what hes doing in your life intimately and behind the scenes in your daily life. (Unknown) -CMF
