Recall on Publix deli ready-to-eat products (from AJC): Publix Super Markets is recalling around 40 deli ready-to-eat products at stores in Georgia and other Southeastern states because they contain a seasoning mix that may contain peanuts that are not declared on packaging. While no allergic reactions have been reported by customers who have a sensitivity to peanuts, the company said the voluntary recall is out of an abundance of caution. The products, from pizzas and salmon cakes to chicken salad and jambalaya, have sell-by dates through Jan. 15. Publix also issued a second recall for ready-to-cook beef and chicken fajitas and pork chorizo burgers because they also may contain peanuts that are not declared on the packaging. Those products have sell-by dates through Jan. 14. A spokeswoman said customers who have purchased the products may return the product to their local store for a full refund. For a complete list of the products visit the Lakeland, Fla.-based company’s website or call the company at 1-800-242-1227. corporate.publix/about-publix/newsroom/news-releases/publix-issues-allergy-alert-for-various-ready-to-eat-deli-products
