Recalling my vacation last April 2011, my father, Tatay Erning - TopicsExpress

Recalling my vacation last April 2011, my father, Tatay Erning found a broken cell phone on our trash when he is about to throw it. Returning to me, he said Wiwen, sira na ga a-re, sayang eh, di na ga magagawa? (is this defective, i pitied throwing it, cant this be repaired?). I just answered him no, because I am ashamed telling him the whole story. But now, I will reveal to you what really happen in the scene of the crime (S.O.C.O. - Gus Abelgas, hehehe). I really have a problem of controlling my temper during those days. Whenever it reach to the high level, higher than what you attain in your Temple Run, Candy Crush, Flappy Birds & Hay Day. When it hit the limit, I needed to throw anything that I am holding or anything besides me instead of using my hand to injure a person I am angry with. Yes, I have thrown that Nokia mobile on the floor, as mighty as I can, and it was totally damage. Honestly, it was the third time it happened to my cellphone. But now, I am so thankful, why? Because i have an I-Phone 4S, even if this is a second hand mobile when I purchased, it is quite expensive to throw, hahaha.... and just yesterday, a new power pack, generously given by Kuya Tito Tomas Martinez, (Thank You Ninong, God Bless You!) was added and I will make sure to keep it far from me before shooting my bolt, hahaha). God showed me that I should be very careful in every action I am doing, because others are watching and learning from it. Who are they? My children: Hannah, Johnwin & Faith. We have Parents For Life course offered by 2=1 ministry 2 years ago and in every lesson we discussed, we need to have an application. One of the application we need is to recall to the kids our past failures with them & ask forgiveness. One Friday morning, when we are discussing it, I ask the kids what are the things they recall we did at the past. This is what Johnwin told me nung dati pa, tinapon (tinabig) mo yung baso na may water, tapos tumapon dito sa cabinet... He actually re-enact as he recall the scenario the way I did it and this incident happened when they are younger than they are now but still in there mind. As we continue, our verse for today is in John 8:9, it says At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. (...older one first, we can assume that the younger one are the last, agree?) The Word of Jesus frightened the accuser, sending them home one by one with their own conscience convicted. They might be afraid that if they will not go, Jesus will reveal more about themselves, one by one, sin by sin and therefore, they might think the best way they can escape not to be broadcasted in the daylight of the sin they committed, they need to have a silent exit. There exit is very gentle, as if unnoticeable. It is like when starting a war where the entrance is full out shouting and confident that they will win, so boldly in their claim for victory, but when defeated you can see their bodies scattered on the grounds and the survivors are so hopeless as if seeing their chin, touching the ground. I remember the dog of our neighbor, they barked so furiously, but when they hear a gun fire or firecrackers, they simply go inside the room, under the table with their tail hiding under. The Word of the Lord so penetrated to them, convicting the sinners that they decided to leave. For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.Nothing in all creation is hidden from Gods sight Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account. Heb 4:12-13. Imagine the scenario: after hearing the gentle of Jesus. You can hear the stone, one by one dropping back on the ground. Take notice the order of their departure, beginning at the eldest, either because they were most guilty, or first aware of the danger they were in of being put to the blush if Jesus will reveal more; and if the eldest quit the field, and retreat without saying a word, no wonder the younger follow them. Should the young one leave first, the elderly may not want to follow, but when the elderly leave, the young one automatically followed them. Our action and speech are being watched and in most cases imitated by those children, those young people around us. The Pharisees and teachers of the law showed them how to judge others, but Jesus said, do not judge or you too will be judge, Matthew 7:1. We are aware of the this sayings Kung ano ang ginagawa ng matatanda, yun ang gagayanin ng mga bata in other saying ang maling ginagawa ng matatanda, sa tingin ng mga bata ay nagiging tama. However, though this echoes in our ear, we never applied it much. Leaving this earth, what is the legacy that you are planning to leave as inheritance to your children. As a role model to the young fellow, you are now in the position to leave to them the blessings of the Lord for a Thousand Generation..., or a curse to the third and fourth generation (Exodus 20:5-6), which legacy will you choose to give them? You allotted eight or more hours of your time in your work, no question about it...but after work, you might be spending your time shopping, doing your hobbies, meeting friends or enjoying yourself and unwind. You might not be a type of person na mahilig gumimik, rather going home after work. But what are you doing at home after work? watching soap opera, basketball and boxing, playing candy crush, Hay Day or enjoying your time chatting on Facebook (raise up your hand if you are guilty you might see me raising up my hand if you are here, hehe.). You could be spiritual and after work, you go directly to your bible study group, prayer meeting and many more spiritual gathering, but you might be forgetting the sequence of your priority. After God, your next priority in life is your family, your wife & your children. Before the worldly environment teach our children of the pattern of this world, you have the responsibility to teach them the way of the Lord. Though young as they are, lead them to the Lord Jesus, and they will take them as they grow old. This is the only legacy that will last, even at the end of this age, not your money, not your house & lot, not your position, not your possessions, but your relationship and eventually, their relationships to God. I like this quote seen if not in our door, in the door of my brother house and it says like this in the eyes of the child, Love is spelled T.I.M.E. yes, your time for them is important. It is not late, It is never too late. Late is only a word applied when our breath is taken away from us, but as long as you live, God is giving us a second chance. You can start over again (ikaw ba yan Papa Piolo, ate Tony). You can start over again RIGHT! Application: Memorize & Apply Prov 22:6 Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it. When was the last time you spend quality time with your family, with you children? Start doing a bible study to your children NOW.
