Recap of last Sunday. Mercy is not the same as forgiveness. You can believe God has given you mercy for your sin so you are not going to spend eternity in hell but still not live a victorious life because you fail to understand the power of the forgiveness you received in Christ. Knowing how cleansing forgiveness is allows you to release those who have offended you without becoming a victim yourself. When you are free like this you can forgive those who sin against you and that forgiveness becomes a mighty weapon. When you cannot be offended your enemies cannot bring you down. It all starts by understanding how big and how deep Christ forgiveness was for us. If your salvation is undeserved then it is also unconditional and as a result eternally secure.
