Received an approval for a client which truly brings home how blessed we are to do what we do. Client entered the US in 2002 thinking he was going to marry his one and only. They married, but she turned out not to be his true love; it happens sometimes. But because he came to the US as a fiancé, and the marriage fell apart before the client could finish his green card process, the law prevented him from obtaining his residency. Years later, he met and married the true love of his life. Four attorneys, including one who charged them over $15,000.00, filed documents which were simply not correct. They came to us and we realized that in the time that had passed the interpretation of the law changed to allow the client to obtain his residency based on the fact that he had complied with all the requirements of a fiancé visa. The problem came when USCIS added additional criteria which were not part of the law. After months of legal back and forth, we finally convinced USCIS that the additional requirements were not in the law. The client and his current wife ended up with tears of joy. They were so joyful even the USCIS Officer became overwhelmed with the joy they felt. 12 years later, their journey ends and their lives begin. Truly blessed.
