The Commissioners of the Tilton-Northfield Fire District have accepted the resignation of Chief Bradley Ober. “We appreciate all that the Chief has accomplished in his 3 years of tenure and wish him well in his new position as Deputy Fire Chief in Gilford, NH,” said Commissioner Paul Auger. The Commissioners have unanimously agreed to appoint Michael Robinson, who is now Deputy Chief, to the position of Interim Chief and to appoint Captain Timothy Joubert as Interim Deputy Chief. “We are confident that these two seasoned veterans can carry on the day to day activities of the department while a search ensues for a new full time Chief,” said Auger. The Commissioners will be using a search committee comprised of residents from Tilton & Northfield, representatives of the Lakes Region Mutual Aid community and Select Board members from both towns to help select a new chief.
