Received word from my sister, Pat Creighton,and Gennell Graham that Leo Hewitt has passed away. For those of you who didnt know him, he was a real estate broker and developer in Conroe, Texas who was very active in the community and well thought of by most. He was a victim of Limes Disease he contracted from a tick, on a hunting trip, with a mutual friend several years ago. We traveled together on multiple occasions over the years and his end, although sad, is a blessing for he had become totally dependant on his wife, Shirley, for every aspect of his existence. His best amigo, Bob Secrest, was actively involved in helping with his ongoing issues throughout the duration of his illness. Like most folks, Leo, although popular, became inconvenient to consider during his declining years and other than Mr. Secrest, and a few other angels of mercy, struggled each day with lying in his bed unable to even feed himself or scratch an itch without the company of those he served in various capacities over the years, myself among them.. Although we shared many moments together, I am grateful that God has finally relieved Leo of his burdens. Leos terrible illness served as a grim reminder that there are few in this world who will show up to tend our needs when our best days have passed. Shirley, God Bless you ! Bob, my condolences. Today, I move from here to Vientiane for 3 nights. Will post again then assuming its possible. Later.
