Receiving the Posterity at the Altar Genesis 12:7 Amplified) Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, I will give this land to your posterity. So Abram built an altar there to the Lord, Who had appeared to him. Abram received the promise of God for His posterity. When we receive at the altar that has been dedicated to the Lord we must understand the perpetual blessings of these promises are not just limited to our space and current time. The fact of the perpetual blessings will always be generational when these promises are sent by the Father to us through the Spirit of truth John 16:13 Amplified) But when He, the Spirit of Truth (the Truth-giving Spirit) comes, He will guide you into all the Truth (the whole, full Truth). For He will not speak His own message [on His own authority]; but He will tell whatever He hears [from the Father; He will give the message that has been given to Him], and He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future]. “He will announce and declare to you the things that are to come [that will happen in the future].” Sounds like the speaking of posterity of perpetual promise. We are engaged or should be engaged in the spiritual warfare for this promise to continue in Israel as Satan is trying to steal this promise that was given to Abram which the word of God says is the father of us all Romans 4:16Amplified) 16 Therefore, [inheriting] the promise is the outcome of faith and depends [entirely] on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of grace (unmerited favor), to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants—not only to the devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham, who is [thus] the father of us all. In this passage in Romans we find without the shadow of a doubt our connection by faith in Jesus Christ (Yeshua) to the promise give to our father Abraham. So whatever we hear from the Spirit of truth we must receive in the entirety of faith from which it comes this reception is our inheritance of the unmerited favor of the grace that was given to us by our Lord anything less than this reception of promise we fall dangerously short of His intentions into incomplete possession of His promise which isn’t the will of our Heavenly Father. John 10:10 Amplified) The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). The enemy of promise is the old thief Satan himself but the only way he can keep us from receiving as the Spirit of truth receives from the Father is if we get out of the Spirit into the flesh which will cause us to doubt and lose the prosperity of the posterity of the promise to come. Many of God’s children miss the abundant life because failure to receive this depth of the promises of God isn’t to us alone but for generations to come. We have another great example of this in the outpouring of the Holy Ghost at Pentecost when we were given the Spirit of truth. Acts 1:4 Amplified) 4 And while being in their company and eating with them, He commanded them not to leave Jerusalem but to wait for what the Father had promised, Of which [He said] you have heard Me speak. [John 14:16, 26; 15:26.] This promise wasn’t to these men alone but for all the posterity yet to come Acts 2:38-39 Amplified) 38 And Peter answered them, Repent (change your views and purpose to accept the will of God in your inner selves instead of rejecting it) and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of and release from your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is to and for you and your children, and to and for all that are far away, [even] to and for as many as the Lord our God invites and bids to come to Himself. [Isa. 57:19; Joel 2:32.] How do we know that we have received as the Spirit truth received is when we get past the fact that the promise of God which are yea and amen aren’t for just this generation but for those which are to come we then are receiving the depth of the heritage from the promise of the Father.
