Recent Wave of violence is the heinous conspiracy to initiate Sectarian Violence during the month of Moharram Central Coordination Committee MQM Karachi, 5 November 2013: The Central Coordination Committee of Muttahida Quami Movement has strongly condemned the massacre of innocent people on sectarian basis in metropolis and termed these tragic incidents as a part of conspiracy to wage sectarian violence in the city during the holy month of Moharram. The Central Coordination Committee claimed that due to the sincere and untiring efforts of the Founder and Leader of MQM Mr Altaf Hussain sectarian harmony is promoting in Karachi and people from different school of thoughts are living like brothers with each other, but miscreant elements cannot tolerate the atmosphere of brotherhood and sectarian harmony thus as a part of their heinous conspiracy they are paving way to erupt violence on sectarian basis. The Committee while deploring the recent wave of terrorism said that yesterday brutal terrorists targeted the people of Shia community and today people from Sunni sect were subjected to barbaric terrorism which is a matter to ponder over. The committee harshly criticized those elements who in order to yield their heinous motive are shedding the blood of innocent citizens; they are the open enemies of the humanity. The committee has made heartfelt appeal to both the people belonging to Shia and Sunni community to understand the conspiracy being hatched to violate the sectarian harmony on the arrival of Moharram ul Haram by miscreant elements and instead of getting provoked from any incident should demonstrate patience and tolerance and ensure peace through their unity so that terrorist cannot exploit their sectarian sentiments during the month of Moharram. The Central Coordination Committee has urged the religious scholars belonging to Shia and Sunni community and scholars from different school of thought to play their effective, practical and concrete role to maintain peace, tranquility and harmony in the city and teach the lesson of brotherhood, unity and sectarian harmony in their sermons during the Moharram Majalis.
