Recent politics show how foolish we are collectively. All this - TopicsExpress

Recent politics show how foolish we are collectively. All this focus on the Keystone pipeline and immigration reform show how brainwashed we are to mindlessly follow our side. The Keystone Pipeline might make a slight difference over the short term in the marginal profitability of some canadian oil sands production but will not really impact a single barrel of production over the longer term. The presidents immigration reforms prioritize enforcement and potentially bring out of the shadows people we are never going to target for deportation anyway. Certainly nothing illegal or unconstitutional about the moves, agree or disagree. Meanwhile both parties again move to create divisive issues and focus on the next election with no time spent on actually governing. I believe we would be better off with a congress randomly selected and a single 6 year term President who should not come from the public sector at all. In my opinion, we should not vote to return a single incumbent politician on either side until we can break the hold the current political system has over our government. If you think your side is right and the other wrong - you are part of the problem. Rant over and back to work.
