Recent reports by health officials have suggested that the NHS may have to start charging patients as the current state of the service is under threat due to budget deficits. They have suggested the charge to patients or alternatively increasing taxes or making cuts to the service. As life expectancy is on the rise, the NHS is “creaking at the seams” dealing with an ageing population. This follows a ComRes poll in which revealed that 63% of people asked think that there is not enough money in the NHS.
