Recent reports have questioned the objectivity of Dish Network - TopicsExpress

Recent reports have questioned the objectivity of Dish Network Founder and Chairman Charles Ergen in the fight, citing Ergen’s long-standing reputation as an ardent booster of the Democratic Party. Wait – the founder of an underperforming company that relies on image as opposed to product is a Democrat? Stop the metaphorical presses! Ergen donated $64,000 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee just last year. He also supported several legislative candidates on the Democratic side. (H/T Western Journalism.) What’s worse, reports allege that Ergen has pressured other employees at Dish Network to donate to Democratic causes. So this is why political pundits have been saying that the Dish Network stuffed kangaroo will be Joe Biden’s running mate if he wins the Democratic nomination in 2016. It all makes sense now. Fox News began playing the political angle late in the battle, intimating that Dish Network was “censoring” the news by dropping Fox News and Fox Business Network. In spite of this, if Dish wanted to persecute Fox for their political opinions, it turns out that they were the ones who ended up being persecuted. During the row the satellite provider lost 90,000 customers which was directly attributable to Dish Network’s dropping Fox News. This was in addition to over 350,000 calls and e-mails that inundated the company from irate customers.
