Recent studies by Common Sense Media show a decline in teen reading, with most teens only reading for pleasure one or two times a year. Maybe Dear Nobody: The True Diary of Mary Rose, an addict tell-all like Go Ask Alice (except Dear Nobody is a true account), will be the newest teenage phenomena talked about in lunchrooms instead of the ending of the Twilight series. Dear Nobody is certain to stir-up controversy, but as co-editor Gillian McCain says perhaps Mary Roses diary will speak to a new generation of addicts, near-misses, or teen addicts-to-be.
