Recent studies (yet to be published) have shown that the Australian Red Cedar,Toonis australis, found throughout the Scout Camp and the Illawarra area, is one species that is modifying just as this report suggests. In fact, as a comparison to historical botanical records, the Red Cedar now has on average, more leaflets on each bract than it did during the timber-getting days of the Illawarra. Botanical adaptation, almost in our lifetime.
