Recently, Apple announced they were going to sell a smart watch that would allow people to track their steps walked and heart rate. What happens to that information? Or the information collected by other similar devices? This editorial in the New York Times nytimes/2014/09/16/opinion/smartwatches-and-weak-privacy-rules.html explains that the privacy laws in the USA dont deal with this type of information. How does the collection, storage and use of that information fit with the privacy legislation in Canada?
