Recently I decided to join the fight against blood cancer by registering for the Light The Night Walk at Montréal - Parc Jean Drapeau. My personal motivations are very clear for embarking on this journey; not only do I want to help find a cure for blood cancers, but I want to give hope to all those families fighting the battle as you read this... All those 100,000 people affected by blood cancers in Canada. All those that will be diagnosed every 29 minutes… and those, who every 76 minutes will die. Unfortunately, many of us can say that cancer has touched our lives. So no matter what our inspirations or motivations are, we can all genuinely say that we want to help change these statistics and do our part to find answers. We often ask ourselves how someone like us can help loved ones who are battling cancer. We aren’t all doctors or researchers -- but we can all help.
