Recently I moved to a new town to go to school. I worked with Lucius the last two summers and had the privilege of being his camping neighbor this summer. I shared many good talks, beers, and fires with this guy. When I arrived to school I went to check out the hiking nearby. This was the night Lucius unknowingly passed. While hiking I was startled a bit to run into a coyote. It was not uncommon for it to be alone but it was uncommon for it to allow me to be so close. Never have I met a coyote that wasnt afraid of people. Not only did he allow me to get close but he also sat and watched me. I did the same and as minutes of us watching each other passed, I realized this coyote was something out of the ordinary. I have returned to the same trail 3 times now since Luciuss accident and each time I have encountered this marvelous creature. It may be coincidence and maybe its silly to think, but its connection to Lucius Coyote Robbi is powerful to me. Each time I have seen it I think how incredible this animal is much like I did each time I shared a conversation, beer, or fire with Lucius. I look forward to seeing this coyote again and in a way I guess I look forward to seeing Lucius again. I wanted to share this to remind people that If someone has made a big enough impression on your heart, theyre likely to exist there indefintely. Love you Luscious Lucius.
