Recently, a voter called with an unusual question: “Was your wife that duck?” Yes, Carrington debuted on the historic Belcourt Theatre stage a few years ago, as the ill-fated duck in Olde Worlde Theatre’s production of Peter and the Wolf. Since then, Carrington and the boys have performed with Olde Worlde in Tom Thumb and Rumpelstiltskin, in the roles of baker, farmer, jester, mice, fish, and ghosts. As for me, I stick with the role of proud father/husband in the audience. If you’ve seen an Olde Worlde show, you know that Richard Stein’s troupe manages to entertain children as well as their parents with modern spins on classic fairy tales. If you haven’t seen one, now’s your chance, when Chicken Little takes the stage at 10 a.m. on Saturdays between Jan. 24 and Feb. 14. For information and tickets, call Richard Stein at 300-0374 or visit Belcourt.org. Break a leg, Olde Worlde!
