Recently asked a question of what I should do to spruce up in my work area. A fairly open and spacious cube of sorts. Someone replied something along the lines of, A picture of a super hot chick. You need that motivation. These are my feelings and response not directly aimed at they who commented, but rather a step back to fully grasp a take on society. And so that response begins: Unsure, in ways how that would be the motivating factor in any respectable, thoughtful, and humane work environment. I do however think a motivator of such chick should be super hot in categories way before looks come into play. A respectable, driven, intelligent, understanding, confident woman would be on my radar prior to simply looks. Looks are soley a gateway for interaction (& at times a deterant on both ends of spectrum) and shouldnt be a weighted factor of a decisions... even more so how we view other people, but society gives us standards... In which I say, defer from status quo toward grander thinking. So, I ask my fellow friends (this is greatly a rooted in men super-majority issue, however it does not discount all women from this discussion either): please do not fall and stoop to such levels of thinking because it is thoughts like those that are un-inventive (I think I just invented a word) and lead to other thoughts and perhaps actions that put forth many consequences that will impede any sort of progress for a better suited society. In conclusion, to the comment, I speak on fact of knowing and having so many brilliant (in many different categories) women in my life to assist in fighting these engrained thoughts, perceptions, and perhaps ideals that plaque much of our society and humanity.
