Recently concerns were raised with us about new eligibility rules - TopicsExpress

Recently concerns were raised with us about new eligibility rules being introduced in NSW for government supported TAFE places. Previously the eligibility criteria had specifically stated that New Zealand citizens were eligible, but they are not mentioned in the proposed new criteria. We wrote to the department administering the policy to seek clarification and received the following response: Dear Timothy, Thanks for your email. Specific student eligibility criteria (and how it relates to New Zealand citizens) for Smart and Skilled are expected to be announced shortly and will be available on the State Training Services Website. If you haven’t already done so you can subscribe to Smart and Skilled to be kept up date with information as it becomes available. Regards Smart and Skilled Information and Customer Support MH Needless to say, we will continue to seek clarification over the coming months and do all that we can to ensure that New Zealand citizens continue to be eligible to access TAFE on equal terms with all others.
