Recently, some emergency water work took place outside Burwalls House, temporary home to our offices. When the work was completed, the shrubbery outside the front door had to be replanted and the gardener sent to do this work unearthed a wallet lost there in 1937, complete with an army warrant card. The gardener asked his brother serving in the army to check the records and the wallet was recently reunited with its 94 year old owner! The best part of the story is that he is still married to the lady whose photo (age 17) was inside the wallet. More details on this when we have them!
