Recently some of our physics students took a field trip with Dr. Goddard, assistant professor of physics, to the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety in Ruckersville. This picture was taken right after the group observed the collision of this beautiful 2015 Audi A3 at 45 miles per hour; a great example of the physics of collisions and such things as impulse, momentum, force, acceleration and energy.
