Recently, the question has been asked, does Ray Rice deserve a second chance? The answer to that should be NO. I love second chances, I really do. But Ray Rice is an exception in my mind. This guy has been involved in multiple instances with the law on assault. February 15th, Rice is arrested on simple assault charges, is then later released . February 19th, video surfaces of Rice dragging his then-fiancée out of the elevator. March 27th, Rice is indicted on aggravated assault charges. September 8th, another video surfaces of Rice punching his wife in the face inside of an elevator. This man is a woman beater, and a jerk. Both should not have a place in the NFL. Rodger Goodell was a complete failure in this situation. He suspended him for TWO games, TWO games before that other video was released. Rice did not face nearly the penalty he should have. I just do not understand why Goodell would let him come back to the NFL. He is a disgrace to the Ravens, and to the NFL. This man does not deserve to play football anymore, anymore. Any team that signs him is basically saying that it is ok to beat your wife and we accept this. This is the type of behavior by Rice, and Goodell that give the NFL its bad image. People like him do NOT deserve to play football, especially in the NFL by any means. The NFL is for professionals, not babys and jerks like Rice.
