Recently we spoke with a female Army veteran who is disabled. Karen served from 1983-1991. She was looking for food assistance or resources that could help. After a few phone calls with Karen and her VA caseworker we are happy that we are assisting in a variety of ways. Thank you to Ron Shovlin and Shovlin Mattress Factory for delivering a queen bed to Karen so she wouldnt have to sleep on the air mattress on the floor. Ron - we are very grateful, thank you for your generosity. !!!! ShovlinMattress/ We are also going to do something a little different. After speaking with Karen, her VA caseworker and therapist we have established a wish list of items that would be helpful for Karen in her new apartment. Many times people ask me if they can adopt a soldier or adopt a family for the holidays. We thought we would try this.
