Recently we visited Dawn Chesser and her family at Oak Ridge, Tn. Dawn is now the Director of Preaching Ministries of the General Board of Discipleship of the United Methodist Church and travels throughout the country helping to improve the work of United Methodist pastors, a very difficult task in such a diverse and divided church as we have today. She is very happy in her new job and we enjoyed our visit with her, and her husband, Scott, and her youngest son, Chris, who was only a baby when she was the associate pastor at First United Methodist Church of Downers Grove. We are pleased and proud of the work that Dawn is doing.
