Recently we were asked by a PetSmart employee if we could help - TopicsExpress

Recently we were asked by a PetSmart employee if we could help with a paralyzed Shih-Tzu that was left in a shopping cart in the parking lot. Of course my heart sank as we sit here incredibly full with one emergency after another and no fosters available for him. Then, just when you needed it to happen, another friend in rescue had heard that we were trying to find a foster and offered to foster him until one was available in our our program..... And today Bomber Joe was officially inducted into the Snooty club with his first visit to Animalia. Bomber is about three years old, super healthy (and happy!!!) outside of being paralyzed in his hind quarters, but he is able to go to the bathroom on his own and is not incontinent. His situation is not reversible and he has been this way for awhile, his muscle is wasted and he is quite savvy in maneuvering himself. Because of this Dr. Martin wanted to send him to his foster home with a loaner cart to make sure he would take to it, before we measured him and ordered him one of his own. Then, this happened.......and well, needless to say he got measured and we are ordering this boy a cart of his own!!! He immediately took off running!!!! I love these moments of this is why we do what we do! Anyone interested in donating towards Bomber Joes own cart that he will be able to take with him once he is adopted and use for the rest of his life can donate using the pay pal button on our website at snootygiggles, please make a note that it is for Bomber Joes cart!!!
