Use a flat pot, add butter and oil and cook on low till tender. (Test with a knife to see if its done) dont overcook. Mines cooked for 15min. Note: Always buy t-bone that is thinly sliced. If you see that the cut of the t-bone is too thick rather leave it and try elsewhere because thick steak gets really tough during any type of cooking process and is difficult to chew. BATTERED ONION RINGS Ingredients: 1 large onion 1 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon chillie powder/paprika, (optional) 2 tablespoons oil 1 egg white, stiffly beaten Enough water to make a batter Preparation: Cut onion into rings and cover with ice water. Refrigerate while making the batter. Combine batter ingredients, folding in stiffly beaten egg white last. Drain the chilled onion ring slices, dip in the batter and fry in batches in hot oil for 3 minutes or until golden brown. Roll dough out thin and cut into rounds using a cutter. Place in greased muffin pan and bake till firm and not brown. Cool. Spoon filling in cups and sprinkle cheese. Ready to freeze. This time I used puff pastry an didnt sprinkle cheese on top . When making the dough as recipe suggests then u have to sprinkle cheese on top. Milo choc cake. 1 cup milk , 1 cup oil. Boil n allow 2 cool. Sift tog 1 3/4 cup flour, 1/4 cup cocoa pwd, 4T milo . Add all above ings to oil n milk mixture. Next beat 1 1/2 cups castor sugar, 4 eggs . Beat all ings tog n fold ȋ̊η 4 t bakin pwd. Pour into square tin n bake @ 180 until done. Allow 2 cool b4 addin topping. Toppin: 2 slabs milo , 1 sml tin nestle cream.(Tried ∕̴ɩиϑ tested) Caramel Milk Tart 250 g Tennis biscuits, finely crushed 200 g butter, melted 1,5 litres milk 200 g sugar 3 eggs 100 g flour 100 g cornflour 10 ml (2 t) vanilla essence 50 g butter extra 250 ml (1 c) milk 1 box (90 g) caramel instant pudding 250 ml (1 c) cream 1 can (360 g) caramel condensed milk 1 slab (90 g) milk chocolate Method 1) Mix the biscuits with the melted butter and press onto the bottom of a deep 30 cm square dish. Chill until needed. 2) In a large microwave-proof bowl heat 1 litre (4 c) of the milk with the sugar for 10 min. 3) In a separate bowl beat the eggs, remaining 500 ml (2 c) milk, flour, cornflour and vanilla essence until smooth. 4) Mix the flour mixture with the hot milk and microwave for 12 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes until the mixture is thick. Beat in the butter and leave to cool. 5) Whisk the extra milk and instant pudding together. In a separate bowl whisk the cream until soft peaks form and fold into the instant pudding. 6) When the custard is cooled, start the layering. Pour the custard over the chilled biscuit layer, smooth the caramel condensed milk over the custard, then add the instant pudding mixture. Grate the chocolate over and refrigerate overnight.
