Recommend the movie "The Sea Inside (2004)" or "Mar adentro" in Spanish. It begs the question of whether a person has the right to end his/her own life. In the movie, based on a true story, a Spanish quadriplegic man fights for his right to assisted suicide. The role is brilliantly played by Javier Bardem, who is better known for his villian role in Skyfall. Suicide is seen as a crime and sin in the eyes of many, but that man in the movie was not able to move, to enjoy life, and felt like he was burdening his family. Knowing his story and thinking about being in his place, it begged the question, was it wrong of him? Reminded of a co-worker who committed suicide a couple of years ago. Bright, young, and beautiful, both inside and out, the news was shocking to hear. But, it begged the question, does one have the right to condemn?
