Recommendations on washer/dryer that you love? What a way to start a 25th wedding anniversary weekend--dryer fire! Thank goodness Chris was nearby when it happened, smelled smoke and was able to unplug the dryer and thwart disaster (other than for the clothes in the dryer that now smell like smoke). Lint filter was clean, as was dryer vent. Internet search shows it as a problem with lint collecting in hidden areas of the drum on the Bosch Nexxt dryer we bought in 2004 (blaming Ivan for this near disaster). Beware! So, our anniversary gift to each other--a new dryer and 25 more years of romance and putting out fires together. Im shopping for a top loading washer (clothes always had a lingering dirty water smell with the Bosch front loader) and new dryer. Would appreciate recommendations. Thanks!
