Reconciling Inter-religious and Inter-ethnic Differences (RIID) 2nd Phase National Peace Council of Sri Lanka had successfully begin its 2nd phase of Reconciling Inter-religious and Inter-ethnic Differences (RIID) Project on 1st of November 2014. NPC is planning to implement this project in 9 districts. (Jaffna, Batticaloa, Ampara, Puttalam, Mannar, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Matara and Galle) In order to the NPC (RIID project team) were started orientation sessions in Ampara district on 22 November 2014 with District Inter-religious committee and the partner organizations namely True Vision Rural Rehabilitation Organization. Furthermore, 31 DIRCs members were participated. Inter-religious leaders, Government officials, Mediation Board Members, CBO/Local NGO representatives and Journalists included the participants. Following sessions were delivered, • Role of NPC in the Current Political Situation • Objective and Process of the Inter Religious Project • Plan a Monitoring System for RIID • How to make use of Face Book of RIID project • Progress Review of RIID phase I
