Records All Original: I think it has an every thing to do with how deep your passion is for music, I don’t mean to be disrespectful but if you have an interest but not a passion then “copies” are acceptable? For me personally I am travelling specifically to an Allnighter based on the desire to hear a little bit of plastic that is rare and special. I want to hope that the DJ has scoured the collections and shops to find that disc and it has been cherished and rare, it is the rare soul scene after all. I could hear it on a lap top in a local pub with a few beers and I am not knocking that and I respect those who wish to do this, it is not my thing. Many won’t get this, some will call me a snob and I suppose I could never explain but to dance to an original record that has had some investment by the DJ is what it is all about for me. The record “Do I love you indeed I do” By Frank Wilson for example, I have heard this a zillion times at a zillion venues but I have been lucky to have dance to the original twice in my life, did it sound the same, yup, did it feel the same? Well if I have to explain that then you wouldn’t get it?
