Recovery Day 76. Ditto on the original recovery, except a little less swelling today actually noticeable😊. But still wearing the oversized 14s. Maybe because of the fact that yesterday I was off my feet for eight hours in Dr McLaughlins office. And today off my feet at home, recovering from yesterdays successful adventure with Carcinoma, my ear and Dr McLaughlin and her excellent staff. Actually accomplished a lot of work at home with my mobile device. Really did. Not as much interruptions at home. Followed Doctors orders. Stay still. Dont get the dressing wet and do NOT do any activity that caused bleeding OR we start the process all overðŸ˜. What did I do?? Followed orders😎. Do not want to repeat yesterdays ordeal again. Ever. So tomorrows list has these items. Go to work. Do not bump ear. Ouch. Shop for small umbrellas to stock in every vehicle. Shop for stylish and practical wide brim hats. Then use them EVERY time I am in the sun for more than a few minutes!!!!!!!! May be too late. Know the damage is done in previous years but might avoid the straw that ........................😨. Also tomorrow at noon go to the North Complex (with umbrella) and attend the ribbon cutting for the to be renamed the Terry Sims Diamond Sports Complex😊😊. A Batesville legend and true gentleman, Terry Sims will be present and I think it appropriate that we have a big turnout to honor Coach Sims. You have to be in your 60s and beyond to truly understand the significance of this man and his contributions to this community and especially young people. Well, we are not so young any more 😊. But GARY A, Gary B , Robert Harmon, Danny James and most others from that era get it. So be there as I will with Sun umbrellas😎. And oh, recovery number two makes daily routines awkward, but you learn to adjust and feel blessed to live in an era of advanced medical field capabilities!!!
