Recruiting is not an area of strength for me. I really dont have the stomach some times for all of the ups and downs. I just wait until the players committ to ND and then listen to other members of our groups that are far more knowledgeable than I am when it comes to rating players. Because of that, I usually have no idea what the players look like, but I do recognize their names. I was just watching the Under Armour All-America practices on ESPN U with my girlfriend, and told her that when they interview these kids I can usually tell which kids will not be attending Notre Dame. I told her that if the kid cant formulate a sentence and sounds like a clown, he is not headed for South Bend. We were watching this kid get interviewed and they did not show his name. He was very well spoken and appeared to be quite intelligent. I told my girlfriend, that this kid sounds like he could play at Notre Dame the interview ended and it was revealed that he was Irish 4 star committ Brandon Wimbush. I was pleasantly surprised but my girlfriend couldnt believe it. She asked me if I knew who he was by sight. I told her absolutely not, but I know the type of kids we go after and in that interview Wimbush fit the mold
