Recycled PET--from water bottles and the like--has experienced somewhat of a rennaissance in lighting recently. Whereas Miyake used pressed fibers, Alvaro Catalán weaved pieces of plastic bottles together to make his lamps; the colored versions were the belles of the ball last year in Milan. Then there is the fuzzy PET panel material in DesignTrees Frankie lamp series. What does this years ICFF hold in store for recylcled PET?
